How Deutsch A1 handles your data
Last updated: 16 October 2026. We collect only what is needed to sign you in and to save your learning progress. There is no advertising, no tracking and no selling of data.
Operator / contact: to be completed by the site operator (name, postal address and e-mail address for privacy requests).
1. Your account
- What: e-mail address, name (if your sign-in provider shares it or you enter it), the sign-in methods linked to your account, and passkeys you add (only a public key is stored, never your fingerprint or face).
- Why: to sign you in and keep your progress in one account across devices (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of the service you request).
- Sign-in providers: if you choose Google, Microsoft or Apple, you sign in on their page and they confirm your identity to us. Their own privacy policies apply to that step.
- E-mail codes: if you sign in with your e-mail address, the code is sent through our e-mail delivery service (Brevo, Sendinblue SAS, France).
2. Your learning progress
- What: your answers to exercises (including typed answers), mistakes and review dates, test results, lesson and vocabulary progress, and your chosen course.
- Why: to show your dashboard, bring mistakes back for review and sync your progress (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Where: in our database at Supabase, protected so that every learner can only read and change their own rows. A copy is kept in your browser so the app also works offline.
3. Service providers
- GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA) hosts the website and processes technical access data such as your IP address.
- Supabase (Supabase, Inc.) provides sign-in and the database.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) sends sign-in e-mails.
- Google Fonts (Google) and jsDelivr deliver fonts and the Supabase program library; your browser connects to them directly, which transmits your IP address.
Some providers are located in or transfer data to the USA. Where required, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
4. Feedback submissions
When you submit feedback, your message and any optional contact information are forwarded to the operator using the external FormSubmit service. FormSubmit may process technical data for spam prevention. Do not send passwords or sensitive information. For questions about your feedback, contact ifti6650@gmail.com.
5. Storage on your device
The site stores your sign-in session and a copy of your progress in your browser’s local storage, and keeps an offline copy of the site’s files. This is technically necessary for the service you requested. No cookies are used for tracking.
6. How long we keep data
As long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, your account and all your learning data are deleted.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, object to processing, and complain to a data protection supervisory authority. Contact the operator named above.
